The region is cooler than the average and there is a constant wind. Mostly white wines of high acidity are made here, local and international varieties, both still,- and sparkling ones. While tasting some great wines and learn about some unpronounceable Hungarian grapes, taste also the typical foods of the region.

We start our Etyek program with the visit of one of the iconic wineries of the region and make your own wine! We will taste some of the wines and in a 150 years old cellar you are invited to discover the art of making your own cuvée, a blend of several wines. Your hosts guide you throughout the activity, which lasts 30-40 minutes. It is fun to compare the blends of your “fellow-winemaker” and taste the different wines. You can make a white of three different wines. The individual wines are tasted separately and blindly, inviting you to take tasting notes. The bottles are then corked by hand and closed with a capsule. The final step is creating a personalized label. You will certainly take your own bottle of hand-made wine home as a souvenir of this exciting activity.

After the funny experience we will discover one of the family wineries of the region, we will visit the cellar, and we will have a three course “farm to table” lunch or dinner.
