The Castle is the embodiment of elegance and generates a feeling of aristocracy. The building truly evokes the atmosphere of the 19th century neo-classicist castle, as if we had gone back into the era of the Habsburgs. The inner space of the rooms and salons, their chandeliers and the old, elegant but comfortable furniture evoke a contemporary atmosphere. Its uniquely designed carpets, marble stairs and Italian furniture make it truly special.

In the territory of the castle other types of accommodations await guests:

– in the Renaissance Palace we can enjoy the comfort of the lords who lived in the era of the famous Hungarian king, Matthias;

– the building of the Manor House is designed to resemble the style of an 18th century French inn, uniting the trio of timber, stone and brick;

– the medieval old-city rooms are located in the old-city of our medieval Theme Park and the uniqueness of the rooms and suits reminiscent of the world of the Middle Ages is provided by the combination of old and new architectural styles;

– the rooms and suites of the Bath House, with their Mediterranean atmosphere, are only a few stair-steps away from the wellness services;

– the Grove House has standard suites with a two-story design; in the three, two-storey, separate Guest Houses, we created 15 rooms altogether, which are characterised by modern furniture and simple design.

Location

The four-star Puchner Castle Hotel is located 180 km from Budapest, near Dombóvár, in the heart of Bikal. From Budapest you can reach Bikal taking the M6 motorway until Szekszárd and then taking the main road; or the M7 motorway until Siófok and then the 61 main road, through Dombóvár.

In the castle building, there are altogether 20 rooms on three storeys. Each of the floors of the castle has a unique atmosphere thanks to the special composition of colours:

  • the blue rooms on the first floor reflect a coolness of aristocracy,
  • the green rooms on the second floor give off a lively spring and warm summer atmosphere
  • while the English-style rooms of the third floor, gently detailed with small flowery patterns throughout, intimately offer a delicate feminine ambiance.

The presidential suite embodies the luxury of lords. It offers the feeling of aristocracy, with its uniquely designed carpets and four-poster bed. From its 16 m² balcony there is a wonderful view to the castle park.
