Discover the 3 stunning cities of the picturesque Danube Bend; Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre. Enjoy the beautiful landscapes and the mixture of the medieval and 19^th century atmosphere these settlements offer along the River Danube.

In the morning travelling to Esztergom by coach.

Esztergom: It once was the capital of the country and is still the centre of the Hungarian Catholic Church. First we visit the largest cathedral of Hungary which also happens to be the burial place of famous cardinals such as József Mindszenty. You may choose to visit the Treasury of the Cathedral.
Afterwards, we cross the river to Slovakia and enjoy the view of the Esztergom Basilica.

Visegrád: The name of the city was first mentioned in a charter dating back to 1009. After the 13^th century Mongol invasion a new fortress was built which was later transformed into a renaissance royal palace and Visegrád became the beloved headquarters of the Hungarian kings of the 14^th and 15^th century. The top of the hill offers a breath-taking view of the Danube Bend.
Following the interesting historical walks we offer the option of having a medieval lunch at a renaissance style restaurant.

Szentendre: It is a charming little town with baroque buildings built on medieval ruins. Szentendre is also known as the Artists’ Village or the Painters’ Town. We take a walk in the historical centre through the cobblestoned narrow streets and get a glimpse of the lovely old houses and shops. After the guided tour you can spend the remaining time with shopping.

In the end of the day transfer back to Budapest.
