The building fits well in with the similary elegant neighbourhood on Andrássy Avenue. Hungary’s greatest Historicist architect, Miklós Ybl designed the building for the Millennium celebrations in 19th century. Construction started in 1875 and the building was finished in 1884. Hundreds of statues and paintings decorate the Budapest Opera House both inside and out.

Liszt Academy of Music
Liszt Academy, founded in 1875, is the only institution bearing the name of Ferenc Liszt in which the great composer himself had an active role in establishing. This university has been functioning for more than 140 years and is the bastion of music teaching and musicology in Hungary. During the tour visitors are taken through the ground floor and first floor foyers, the Grand Hall and the Sir George Solti Chamber Hall.

Budapest Organ Concert
Enjoy a cozy organ concert in one of the most beautiful neo-classical buildings of Budapest, the St. Stephen’s Basilica! The most remarkable church of Hungary is also one of the most significant of tourist attractions, and also the third highest building in the whole country. The program of the concert was adapted by Miklos Teleki who is among some of the best organ artists in Hungary. The arias of the program are performed by Kolos Kováts, one of the most famous concert and oratorio singers in Hungary. Among numerous prizes, in 1992 he also received also the highest prize a hungarian artist can aquire: the Kossuth Prize. The flute is played by Eleonóra Krusic who is already known for her performances with different orchestras from Barcelona, Zürich, Graz and Vienna.

Hungarian Folklore Program
Hungary is one of the very few countries where folk-dancing as on an incredibly high artistic level. It is not a coincidence that there is also a college exclusively for Hungarian folk-dance studies. Our authentic folk-dance shows take place in the Duna Palota and the Budai Vigadó, performed by three of the best professional Hungarian folk ensembles. The performed dances give the viewer a broad insight into Hungarian music, dance and costume heritage, covering traditions of former parts of Hungary as well.
