In the morning travelling to Gödöllő by coach, where the guests visit the Royal Palace of Gödöllő.

The 250-year-old Palace of Gödöllő is one of the largest palaces in the country and is a grandiose masterpiece of Hungarian Baroque architecture. The construction of the palace, which began in 1735, is tied to Count Antal Grassalkovich I, one of the most significant aristocrats of 18^th century Hungary. The Austro-Hungarian Monarchy’s well-known ruling couple, Emperor Franz Joseph and his wife Queen Elizabeth (known as Sisi) frequently stayed here. The palace was presented to the two of them as a gift of the Hungarian state when Franz Joseph was coronated as the king of Hungary in 1867. The royal family took great pleasure in spending the spring and autumn seasons here. Most parts of the palace have been restored recently. Classical concerts and major festivals are organized in the state room and the ceremonial court of the palace.

After the visit we take the guests to Domony valley to take part in a horse show at Lázár Equestrian Park.

The park was established in the very heart of the Gödöllő Hills by the 21-time coach driving world champion Lázár brothers. The Park is situated in the picturesque Domony Valley.
Following the warm welcome with palinka (fruit brandy) and warm scones you are invited to a hearty authentic 3 course lunch (Csikós / Horseman’s menu) including drinks.

Afterwards you are presented an entertaining horse show including the following program:

• Four-in-hand driving, pony carriage driving
• Display of nomad warrior archery – archery on horseback, throwing a spear
• Skills of the horsemen – making the horse lie down, cracking the whip, competition between the horsemen
• Fun competition involving the guests: knocking a bottle with the whip
• Cart pulled by four oxen
• Humorous show with trained donkey
• Queen Elisabeth’s equestrian show in contemporary costume, riding in a side-saddle with husars
• ‘Puszta-five’

At the end of the programme the guests are invited to take part in a pleasant coach trip through the woods as well as visit the Lázár Equestrian Park.

In the end of the day transfer back to Budapest.
